Reminders

ETHICAL PRACTICES

  • Please arrive 5-10 minutes before the start time of class.

  • Please leave your personal belongings in your designated space. No cell phones or bags in the studio.

  • Please remove shoes, flip-flops and socks before entering the studio.

  • Please enter the practice space quietly – many people come to class a few minutes early to de-stress from the day and prepare for practice.

  • Wear light, comfortable, non-restricting clothing.

  • Avoid wearing fragrances, lotions and aftershaves to class as many people have allergies and breathing is a big focus in classes.

  • Be sure to be well hydrated before coming to class. Bring a water bottle but drink sparingly throughout the class.

  • Try not to eat anything for at least an hour to two hours before class and avoid anything overly filling or heavy.

  • Please do not leave class early unless it is an emergency. This helps prevent disrupting the experience for other students.  If you do have to leave early, please let your instructor know before class begins.

  • Please inform your instructor of any medical conditions or injuries that you may have if you are comfortable doing so. Examples include high blood pressure, herniated disk, joint/muscle injuries, etc. This information will help you receive proper modifications that will make practice safer and more enjoyable.
